Some light wordplay over here

A star is an incredibly massive, incredibly hot sphere of plasma that is held together by it’s own gravity. Stars fill the night time sky (it’s not hard to spot such a bright figure against the dark background of the sky) as there are an estimated 400 billion stars in the Milky Way Galaxy but some galaxies contain up to 100 trillion stars. Not to mention there are at least 170 billion galaxies in the observable Universe and you can see how fucking amazing stars are.

Furthermore, stars are as also known as celebrities, prominent figures easily recognizable against the monotone background of the public.

Since Juicy J is about as amazing as a star in the night time sky, he’s on his outer space swag so of course your girl wants to hang out with him.

A funny joke by Howard Zinn, highlighting the cynicism that must be present in the voter-eligible population to not take up their civic duty and participate in democracy. Maybe, it’s because they realized elections are bought and thus saw no point in participating.

Details of the election can be found here but shortly put:

  • Bill Clinton (Democratic Party) barely came out ahead with 47.4 million votes (49.2% of the popular vote and 70.4% of the electoral vote)
  • Robert Dole (Republican Party) trailed by little more than 8 million votes (8+%), pulling in 39.1 million votes (40.7% of the popular vote and 29.6% of the electoral vote)

For such a popular president, this race was awfully close. The difference was equivalent to the number of votes Ross Perot pulled in (8 million votes, 8.4%).
