“Molly” is the nickname for crystallized MDMA, a psychoactive recreational drug usually used at raves or parties (for its euphoric effects). When cut with other designed drugs, you are left with Ecstasy.

To kill any arguments that the lyric is definitively “Miley”, read Miley’s words below:

It depends who’s doing what. If you’re aged ten [the lyric is] Miley, if you know what I’m talking about then you know. I just wanted it to be played on the radio and they’ve already had to edit it so much…I don’t think people have a hard time understanding that I’ve grown up. You can Google me and you know what I’m up to – you know what that lyric is saying.

A clever line right here, One Be Lo.

  1. In the next line, One Be Lo talks about how bad the community is doing, presumably run down with poverty and citizens on disability or welfare. Through the Looking Glass is a nationally renowned research center that helps disabled citizens attempt to regain some sense of normalcy in their life.

  2. A looking glass is merely another term for a mirror, a surface which reflects light in a way which preserves the original quality of whatever may be allowing for light to reflect off of the mirror. One Be Lo has a rhetorical question for a person looking at in the mirror, a person who has the capacity to honestly take up a self-examination of their own beliefs and situations they observe.

Serfdom was a modified system of slavery formed under feudalism, created in the European continent around the High Middle Ages (c. 1000-1299).

Serfs, one of the three classes of European peasants, were landless farmers who occupied a meager plot of land belonging to a Lord who owned not only that land but all the other plots of land which other serfs would occupy. In exchange for working the Lord’s land (often not only their occupied plot of land but mines, forests, and/or roads), they were given the right to utilize specified plots of land for maintaining their own crop, usually minuscule at best, which was food and residual income.

Serfs were at the very bottom of the feudal social order, the oppressed at the hands of the Lord, the oppressor.

Barofsky was at first hesitant to place the blame on Obama as he supported the man in 2008 but as time went on, he revealed:

You get to a point where as an executive you are responsible for the actions taken by your subordinates … and I don’t think these were just mistakes. I think this was the President’s position on the policy choices he wanted to make. And those policy choices have been unsuccessful at best, and disastrous at worst.

The policies, as stated were essentially designed to be remarkably compliant with the peculiar needs of Wall Street, needs not shared by over 99% of the population (but it’s not like that matters).

Barofsky concludes by stating the only solution to Wall Street’s influence in Washington and its power over the economy (namely for the capability to crash it) would be to break up the banks, a view shared by academics and bankers alike and with good reason: they aren’t profitable and receive an $83 billion taxpayer subsidy.
