This is probably a reference to Plato’s writings about pederasty, mainly in his dialogue Phaedrus#Pederasty), and its presence in classical Greek society.

In Greek society, pedrastic relationships were basically sexual relationships between a man and a boy and pederastic relationships were common.

Plato held Socrates as the ideal philosopher and so through dialogues by Socrates, Plato distinguished between chaste and unchaste pederasty and argued that physical consummation of any relationship was to be condemned:

The philosophers abstain from all the bodily desires. They stand firm and do not give in to them.

And later

Philosophy offers a calm retreat from all that and invites a philosopher to gather his soul completely by itself and free himself from earthly pleasures.

The website was probably named Plato’s Boys because Ron and his users–as Ron laments himself–believe they are not hurting anyone by sharing child pornography among themselves.

I really love this shot because it adds to the sense of helplessness you can feel building in Elliot.

Here are three of these Men in Black he’s been seeing everywhere, they’ve whisked him off the street–on the day Terry Colby is arrested for a crime Elliot framed him for.

His worst nightmares have come to life and the fact there’s no voice over from here until the end of the episode also heightens the tension because we don’t gain any insight about the situation from the only person that would know anything more than us.

By the time Elliot has reached the end of this episode, we’ve gained many reasons to doubt his sanity or at least his perspective regarding the Men in Black and Evil Corp.

At the same time, his reaction to this encounter and the appearance of Tyrell Wellick might lead to viewer to doubt their own doubts–or harden them–with Elliot’s take on reality.

Maybe there is some secret conspiracy and they’ve brought him in for some reason.

Or maybe there are no Men in Black and this event is totally removed from his paranoid delusions, having something to do with his stopping the initial DDoS attack launched against Evil Corp.
