She’s acquiring the type of money that traditionally was only reserved to white females who grew up wealthy
Nah, this isn’t it.
She’s saying that in order to get cash flow in the music industry as a black female, since the majority of the record buying public is white, and white people are notorious for being racist and homogenized, you have you look and act like what is typically associated with attractive white females- blond hair, cutesy affectation, etc – even if you personally think those traits are undesirable.
Because their racism is so ingrained, if you look white or pretend, they’ll buy your stuff… simple.
