Pusha directly addresses the collaboration — it’s definitely strange, after all — they have two different audiences (thugs/hipsters), two different styles (gangsta/alternative rap), and two different backgrounds (drug dealer/fatherless ringleader).

Pusha effectively flips off the song’s inevitable critics and raves about the song (in his own song!)

it is not stramge because the link is Pharrel.Pusha has been down with Pharrel for a long time. Both are VA natives. This is the exact kind of collabo Pharrell loves to put together.

This last part is so funny. I love how the beat plays until he mentions that, like Tyler is on top of the world then at the though of that girl he comes crashing back down and the beat stops. Genius.

Dr. TC is introduced to us as Tyler’s school counselor, therefore he is not qualified to deal with people as completely insane as Tyler.

Middle school, principal… get it?

But seriously, Chop has been an active songwriter/musician since 8.

Continuing the religious theme, Chop does a bit of wordplay with “missionary”.

A “missionary” is somebody who preaches to the masses, be it religious or else. Chop’s “missionary flow” preaches the truth and washes away the bullshit of other rappers. He ends it with “coming off top”, meaning that he’s got everybody in the game beat.

However, “missionary” is also a sexual position, in which the guy is on top of the girl. When you pull out (it’s 99.99%* guaranteed to work!) you would cum (come) on top of her.

“Based God” is a nickname for “rapper” Lil' B.

By replacing God with Chop, Chop declares himself an almighty deity.

High jump is a part of gymnastics, where you have to do this:

Chop’s setting the standard high by “raising the bar”.

This is a hardtop:

Unlike a convertible, it blocks out the sunshine, much like Chop’s stunnin' will block out your shine
