Ganja!

Gets inspiration for songs when he’s high. Makes sense since marijuana can temporarily make you smarter.

Anilyst has also claimed that inspiration comes to him when he’s high. His favorite strain is Super Silver Haze because it stimulates his brain.

In this reference, bitch is an unpleasant troublesome female mainly because the term itself is feminine. The “average brother” cannot handle it. An average simple person is not able to “love life” because he won’t be able to handle it. Life is complicated and full of struggles and takes a lot of patience and strong will and commitment. Only the powerful and above average ones will be able to see life in its beauty, with a more understanding and devoted perspective.

Could also be a possible reference to a Hip Hop classic from a legendary figure by the name Nas featuring AZ on their outstanding collaboration on a polarizing song called life’s A Bitch, on Illmatic

The title of the track influenced a huge amount of rappers, it made them generate wordplays and punchlines out of the quote “Life’s a Bitch”, and the ones who were influenced are such as :

Lil Wayne on “6 Foot 7 Foot” :

Life is the bitch, and death is her sister
Sleep is the cousin, what a fuckin' family picture
You know Father Time, and we all know Mother Nature
It’s all in the family, but I am of no relation

All because of Nas, this track is now Lil Wayne’s most mainstream track around the world.

Caught in the undertow is a concept well known to swimmers out there that feel that there are “rip currents” - water waves against them. This is how those who do know how to swim, drown. They are unable to find balance as they are tangled between vicious water waves.

In this song, Linkin Park states that every step turns out to be a mistake, a concept similar to being “caught in the undertow.” No matter how many steps they take, they will be in one place, stuck, trying to escape, but not being able to. It could also be that the person they are singing is their undertow.

Two meanings:

  1. He makes sure to physically hurt his haters hard enough so they FEEL the pain he is inflicting on them

  2. When he raps, even his haters tend to agree with him. They can’t help but “feel him” in his statements, regardless of how much hatred they have for him.

Anilyst is finally speaking his mind, which he at one point thought was “caged” because he wasn’t able to express himself through other means before. By rapping, he is able to climb out of this cage/this box, by writing/spitting what’s been locked up for a long time. Note that he is climbing, meaning he is ascending and going to the top, leaving other rappers behind.

Face missing is referring to him shooting you in the face. Obviously, when shot in the face, the victim will fall and if against a wall or a wall like surface, he will simply slide down, causing him to slump (sit in a position where the torso is bent forward).

This can also indicate that those that choose to run away from him will eventually run into a dead-end, a place they can no longer run from, with no where else to go but to face him (Anilyst).

He’s stating that when bumping his songs in the car, the driver/passengers will feel the thud/sound effects identical to as if someone kidnapped is laying inside the trunk of the car and the body is hitting against the back of the seat over and over again. It’s a simile.
