This might be to say that Jello doesn’t think all cops are scum – only the conservative, middle-aged, authoritarian shitbags who would be against the left-wing media. Furthermore, this goes to say that in the end, the left-wing doesn’t really care, because all they will be doing is “whining,” while not doing anything substantial to eradicate police brutality.
This might also be painting these scum police officers as oblivious and psychotic, that is if “whining a bit” would be publishing a story about a group of policemen raping a woman, and furthermore implying that right-wing newspapers wouldn’t release a story about authority figures doing such acts.
There is nothing to suggest he excludes some cops from his ire. He is saying that left leaning publications will report on police brutality, but ultimately there is a cultural issue in the force that will prevent any change from happening (“the guys at the station don’t give a shit”).
Jello does NOT think some cops are fine, dude. Policing is fundamentally a right-wing project.
