If we’re going to be taking video game characters to the big screen. Can we at least wait for Sly Cooper, one of SONY’S biggest video game characters, to make his theater debut? Unlike what this Sonic movie is going to be, this is going to be fully animated!
Let’s be honest, the Alvin and the Chipmunks trilogy was only going to be interesting for 2 movies. One, introducing the Chipmunks themselves and Two, introducing the Chippetes. After that, there’s nothing else. Which is not the case with Sonic, who has tons of characters and countless stories that can be adapted from the TV Show, or Comics and actually make sense if they’re made for continuation.
And they keep trying to milk it out like they do with the animated movies. Now they’re making a new one also? For what? What about? There are much more interesting movies and characters to go see for your kids. Instead of going to hear the squeekiest and annoying voies for and hour and a half.

According to Box Office Mojo.com although the original movie did good. The sequal failed to manifest the same amount of revenue.
I think the only reason people saw the Smurfs was because of the pure nostalgia factor. I don’t think that it had it anything to do with the greatness of the movie.
