Chris feels deep inside his soul the pain and frustration of living this poor life, he barely has money to pay rent let alone eat.

Here Chris uses a paradox o explain his feelings, he hates listening to gunshots (which are very loud) but he also hates the silence, but the silence he means is the one after a gunshot, when someone is dead laying on the ground there almost always is a soul-numbing silence.

Once again Chris shows his disgust and lack of patience for the evil things going on in his hood.

Chris grew up poor and in a rough neighbourhood, he had to hustle, take care of his family and keep it together whithin himself, obviously when you’re under all this pressure you can’t have that much fun, so childhood goes by very quick, and Chris feels as if kids in his position don’t get to be kids.

Keeping up with the last line, Chris is tired of seeing his loved ones getting convicted and locked up.
Since Chris grew up poor, he often reached the end of the month without enough money to pay rent, so the landlords obviously kicked him out.

Chris is also tired of his friends and family getting arrested for fake reasons, he knows it’s racism and stereotypes that got his loved ones behind bars, and he wants it to change.

This is a summary of Chris’s childhoos, this is how he grew up. He’s damn tired of not getting any shine, recognition or money, so it’s time to change.

Since Chris grew up in a though and poor neighbourhood, he’s not used to this new lifestyle he takes, and now that he’s getting some fame and some money, it’s really weird to him.
He can also mean that it hurts him to be shining and know his family is back home hustling and putting their lifes in danger.

Chris adds some energy and curse words in his raps so that people can relate to it more and glamorize it for being so relateable and “real”.
