Copy and paste the annotation “code” and make sure the brackets align.
Can the same annotation code be on the same song twice? Yes!
Can the same annotation code be moved between multiple songs? No.

Here’s the process:
- Choose which annotation you want to keep/delete. Generally you want to keep the one with the most upvotes or the one made by a new contributor.
If you’re on a trivial song:
- Leave a suggestion tagging the user who created the annotation you’re deleting and ask them to copy the info over by either editing or proposing an edit
If you’re on a popular song:
Send a message to the contributor whose annotation you’re deleting
Copy and paste the info from the one you’re deleting into the one you’re keeping
Delete the annotation you just copied the information from
Edit the existing annotation with the newly merged info
Move the brackets in the song lyrics so the annotation now covers both lines
