A play on Nas classic line “Somehow the rap game reminds me of the crack game” from Represent which Jay-z later sampled Rap Game Crack Game. Thou trap game is when you look past someone so perhaps he´s referring to that now days people look past lyrics and critical acclaim over commercial performance.
Trap game" is the network of selling of drugs. Just like you have to create networks and spread your music to make it in the game.
