Kool Moe Dee’s ride at the time, the Benz 190 2.5. He was likely driving the 190E version that was out between 1987-1993.

Here’s a picture of him and his car:

In the U.S., the 190E 2.5 was the diesel-motor version. At the time “Knowledge is King” came out, Mercedes also offered the gasoline-engine 190E 2.3. The 2.6L 6-cylinder variant wasn’t introduced until 1989.

Lynching is an extrajudicial execution carried out by a mob, often by hanging, but also by burning at the stake or shooting, in order to punish an alleged transgressor, or to intimidate, control, or otherwise manipulate a population of people. It is related to other means of social control that arise in communities, such as charivari, Skimmington, riding the rail, and tarring and feathering. Lynchings have been more frequent in times of social and economic tension, and have often been the means used by the politically dominant population to oppress social challengers. Lynching is sometimes mistakenly thought of as an exclusively North American activity, but it is found around the world as vigilantes act to punish people outside the rule of law. Read more here

Fresco Kane’s single, “HOT”, is off of the upcoming album, ESTL. The song pays homage to the surrounding area near East St. Louis, IL, where the rapper grew up.

Originally rapping under the moniker Genesis the Lyricist (also known as Gena), the Lou MC would later change his name for the purpose of gaining more artistic individuality. Making sure that his image remained organic, he would pair his reputation for being stylishly “dope boy fresh” with his resemblance to the lead character in the classic film Menace To Society, Cane and birth the tag Fresco Kane. Two weeks after changing his name in February of 2012, FK would meet Jermaine Dupri during a trip to ATL with his new management Starpower. The initial intent was to play JD tracks from Fresco and former St. Lunatic Murphy Lee’s unreleased mixtape. The So So Def boss was much more interested in Kane’s solo records. A week later he signed him. (http://www.frescokane.com/Bio)

Killah Priest is speaking on the traditional clothing worn by Muslims. The kufi is a beanie-like head covering worn by Muslim men. He is reminding us of our heritage. A genie, as we witness in movies and stories, often wear turbans and loose, baggy pants.

Priest uses this as a contrast to the beanies and baggy pants that those in the hood wear, note the Turban/urban rhyme.
