In spite of what his actions might have you believe, the hoes he gets don’t actually mend the scars on his heart. His mom is the only one that has been able to do that.

This is in interesting parallel, because moms will often sew patches on the pants of their rowdy children when they are young.

Cole also makes a play on the homophones “hoes” and “hose,” like the waterhose. Cole is so on fire that even a hose couldn’t put him out.

“Cream” has been a common euphemism for money ever since Wu-Tang released their song C.R.E.A.M. in 1993.

Being “all up in the spot” could be a metaphor where “cream” is rubbed on a spot.

Additionally, they say cream always rises to the top, so Cole could mean that when he says its all up in the spot.

After all that saving and fretting for a house, Cole fakes a care for materialism, and blows his savings on a chain.

Earlier in the song, Cole says he has things like watches and chains, but doesn’t have a nice house. In this line, he reveals that he indeed saved money for a house but gave it up for a chain.

This line represents him giving up 100 racks, (a rack being 1 $1,000 dollars, $100,000 in total), on his savings to buy the chain, hence leading to the hook “chaining day.”

Back in his hometown of Fayetteville, people are sick, probably from corrupt greed or vanity. This line could also mean they are sick because they spent all their money on a chain and have none left for a doctor’s visit or medicine.

If you come up rocking (wearing) a chain, they are always going to have something to say, whether it means hating on you, or praising you for blatant materialism.

2 Beefy Nacho Loaded Grillers were purchased. This cashier actually rung this up wrong…

At this Taco Bell, the Loaded Grillers are $1/each after 2 pm. The grillers shouldn’t be $2.98, it should be just $2. The cashier (Sinead M) made an error.
