NORAD – North American Aerospace Defense Command – is a combined organization of the United States and Canada, that provides aerospace warning, air sovereignty, and defense for the two countries.

The map below shows NORAD’s various locations, including its headquarters in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Much of NORAD’s operations are held top secret, due to their control over sensitive government and military operations, including nuclear warheads.

You can imagine why this would be a sensitive keyword for the NSA.

This exchange between Classified and Kayo is a representation of the continuing argument of new age vs classics.

Classified mentions Wayne Gretzky – aka “The Great One;” a hockey player from the 90’s (pictured below, left) – and Kayo counters with Sidney Crosby, a forward currently playing on the Pittsburgh Penguins (below, right).

Then, Classified brings up Michael Jordan (below, right), a guard from the Chicago Bulls in the 80’s and 90’s and for the Washington Wizards from 2001-2003. Kayo comes back with today’s current basketball superstar, LeBron James (below, left), of the Miami Heat.

Finally, Classified brings up Tony Hawk (pictured) – a skateboard superstar from the 90’s and 2000’s, and Kayo comes back with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, a movie star from today’s era.

This is pretty much a few bars of braggadocio rap.

Cole’s goal here is to make the point that he’s the best out there, he’s a great rapper, and he kills tracks.

Cole is saying its not cool when people change album names and fake out their fans in doing so.

One example of a rapper who has done this is Asher Roth, who changed his album title from The Spaghetti Tree to Is This Too Orange, and never released the album on its scheduled release date.

J Cole is giving a narrative of him selling his soul to Satan, and stealing it back, meaning he’s hard and badass to be able to do that.

He says he’s jacking the dead broke, which is interesting for two reasons:

1) He’s calling Satan “broke”

2) Dead people go to hell, which is where the devil spends his time.

He goes on to say that he fouled out in the first quarter, possibly meaning he can’t win because he plays too dirty.
