Kool G Rap’s lyrics from his future track Live and Let Die

“And I’m watchin my pops, pick up bricks made out of crystal
While he was countin the green
I seen nothin but strainers, containers, scales and rocks on a triple beam
People was too afraid to stick him up
Because he had the most notorious brothers to come and pick him up”

Now you understand what G rap means when he says for the first time in his life he’s loaning to his dad, As you can tell he was a big time hustler. Eventually as Kool G Rap approached his road to riches, he was so successful to the point where he would loan money to the person who taught him the game in the first place. A quite humorous incident of role switching.

By the way, Live And Let Die is from his future album, also with the same name Live And Let Die

Your goodness is higher than the highest mountains. Your fairness is deeper than the deepest ocean. Lord, you protect man and animals.

“Fear is stronger than love” -Tupac. Anyways the average person views circumcision(which is the surgical removal of foreskin from a human penis) as “gross”. When one is fearful and superstitious it can be a very fatal mind-state. Sounds like a case of schizophrenia.

“A complex is a core pattern of emotions, memories, perceptions, and wishes in the personal unconscious organized around a common theme, such as power or status”

Chino gets deeper with it here.

Speaking in tongues, more technically known as “Glossolalia,” is the practice of espousing fabricated and nonmeaningful speech. This kind of phenomenon is often associated with a trance state or certain schizophrenic syndromes.

In conjuring this complicated medical condition, O.C.’s saying that these hiphop artists are either lying our their ass or crazy if they think they’ve done what they claim to have done.

When you listen to the context of this song and Chino’s first album ; he was very confident, prominent, and bound to blow up. But unfortunately never did because as time passed people degraded their intelligence and started not to fuck with or even notice hip-hop music with CONTEXT. This includes metaphors, similes, punchlines and puns, wordplay, generally good lyrics and more. But besides all this until Chino XL gets the appreciation and admiration he deserves, his mood remains pessimistic.

This line explains the title and the central theme of this song, as a cycle mirrors a deja vu.

Now the the song is called ‘Deja Vu’ and not cycle, because a deja vu is more of a Wow i ended up here again whereas a cycle could be intentional and positive (think fiscal cycle). So basically Nas is talking about how thugs intend to get out of their situation, but their actions always end them up in the same place.

Robert “Yummy” Sandifer gained national attention in September 1994 after his murder by fellow gang members in Chicago, Illinois. Sandifer was a young member of the street gang the Black Disciples and had committed various crimes, such as murder, arson, and armed robbery- He was executed by his fellow gang members who feared he could become an informant which in turn made Sandifer a symbol of the gang-problem in American inner cities.

Robert is an example of what ‘Pac doesn’t want the ghetto youth to end up like. He is trying to bless them with his wisdom and possibly prevent them from making the same mistake as Robert did, who was lacking guidance. Although tragic, Sandifer is a good representation of what is wrong with the inner city youth in America.

Reference to 2 lines ago – “Who can sell Evian to a drowning man”. Also continus to the drowning-under-water metaphor.

Here he says he’s throwing her off the deep in implying he’s gonna make her “Drown” like he did.

By asking her to pray shit floats Chino’s implying now that he’s throwing her out she probably wouldn’t be able to keep her assets and possibly her emotions.

Overall by drowning Chino means having your life going down hill while losing your most well-loved possessions including yourself.

Manipulating: Handle or control (a tool, mechanism, etc.), typically in a skillful manner: “he manipulated the dials”.

Now this can be a double entendre because as you would say it as him manipulating the people and having full mount over his fans; due to his music being so good and touching, you can also see it as Jay manipulating and controlling the track putting shit together skillfully to make masterpieces as Reasonable Doubt was.
