Probably describing this woman as a used-to-be intellectual until she sold her soul for the luxury life. This is what he means by her mind going beverly hills.

Beverly Hills is a city in LA, California. You can say it is a sanctuary of the rich and famous.

Im not sure who Chino is saying made clever deals. Him or the girl but regardless as a result she’s blowing off lots of money and living the rich life and now she thinks she’s a celebrity like Brooke Shields

She was an American actress, model and former child star.

A poetic way to describe a woman who possibly changed her lifestyle/decisions overnight and as a result of context in the song did Chino dirty.

The sun rises in the morning so this thus describes a cranky woman at the start of the day. This line mirrors the quote “somethings up her/his ass” but here he’s trying to describe this is happening at an early standpoint.

A quote from Nas' “Ether,” arguably one of the most famous diss records in Hip-Hop. Cassidy did say he would drop some “Ether” shit if he had to in an interview with Power 105.1. Now this track right here is his prophecy.

Most pop singles we hear on the radio are sub-par but easy to hear and attractive up until it gets “old” and not the new shit. As a result, its off the radio and never really gets heard again. Thats pop.

I believe this is a genius double entendre. In the first verse X says “..it’s on we transform like Optimus Prime”. Now i believe this line can have 2 meanings, them being:

  1. Get it quick as in get stomped and fucked up

  2. Get it quick as in get pussy.

Now this would make sense because in the first verse DMX stated that him and his crew transform like Optimus prime therefore he can be a transforming ass nigga.

Looking at context on the next line X mentions “suck my dick” kinda proving he was in that mindstate of when he said “get it quick” it could have been a purpose double entendre.

Overall, it seems like “transform” has 2 meaning to it here; one being changing and possibly becoming a bitch or a snitch; the other bringing the G and more powerful side out. Some Optimus prime type shit.

The song focuses mostly on sell outs and the way real hip-hop have lost its essence.

Multiple times on this track Guru focuses in on how he shows love and by this it implies he doesn’t fuck with dissing wack hip-hop although he does wish it would be alleviated and people would listen to true hip-hop.

In conclusion, he’s using his mind to express how the culture is dying and teach us the essence of hip-hop but at the same time he isn’t hating.
