This is a play on the popular idiom ‘Shoot first and ask questions later’, which has been used many many times.

Tupac is stressing the point about how much of a factor drugs were in his household when he was a child.

Tupac was a ‘Crack baby’ which is a term used to describe children who were exposed to crack while still in the womb because of the mothers' use.

It was often believed, as early studies reported that ‘Crack babies’ would be severely emotionally, mentally, and physically disabled, however this was proved not to be the case.

The Ouija Board is a flat, wooden surface which has letters from A to Z, numbers from 0 to 9 with a Sun and Moon symbol. A ‘planchette’ is used to supposedly answer questions that its players ask. However, in popular culture, these boards are considered to be a spiritual gateway used to communicate with spirits. Of course, popular questions often include the future, which the Bone Thugs want to know.

Here at Rapgenius, we advise you NOT to use The Oujia Board as it’s extremely dangerous.

Tupac paints a “perfect picture” with the words he’s rapping. His ability to tell a story was phenomenal–from “Brenda’s Got a Baby” to “Soulja’s Story,” to name a few.

Bone Thugs-n-Harmony’s own Bizzy Bone touched on what a great storyteller Pac was in this video:

Note Pac’s use of alliteration on the “P” sounds—this is something he did a few times in his career. Other songs containing alliteration on the letter “P” can be found in: “If I Die 2Nite,” “Hold Ya Head,” “Me Against The World,” and “Picture Me Rollin'.”
