Mostly I was just wedded to the louche pairing of terroir (soil quality that produces good grapes for wine) and boudoir (silky bedroom). Otherwise I was just running out of lyrical steam and stopped substituting for the original lyrics. Actually I meant GIS (Geographical Information Systems), not GPS like a GPS device, but my mistake. Epidemiologists use GIS to map chemical exposures across large swaths of land. GIS allows them to collect large data sets. The idea was that GIS gets all over you and changes your 2D world back into 3D and back again, like the GIS software. I don’t know how to use it really.
