Rozay is watching a ring side fight next to big money businesses cause he is ballin'.

Editors note:

This also ties into the Frank Lucas reference in the line above.

In the movie American Gangster, a depiction of Frank Lucas’s life, Lucas goes to a major boxing match with his wife, wearing the expensive fur coat and fur hat, something he doesn’t like to do because it draws attention to himself.

Anyway, at the fight he gets some really close seats, right next to the stage practically.

This ends up marking the downfall of Frank Lucas, but that isn’t relevant to the explanation

The story this song tells is about when Danimal Lector lost two of his best friends, one to drugs (first verse) and one to a girl (second verse).

The first part about the third verse is about the older brother that Danimal would have had if he hadn’t died during birth, and the second part is about Danimal’s younger brother who fell victim to drug addiction, before sobering up and making amends with his family.

In the video DANIMAL PLANET: THE MAN BEHIND THE MASK, a fan asks him who his biggest inspiration was, and he answers:

Back in the day, all I listened to was Wu-Tang. You couldn’t tell me nothin' about any other artists. At all. I was Wu-Tang forever, motherfucker. I didn’t care about anything else, I didn’t listen to anything else. Any CD with a Wu-Tang sign on it: Killah Army, Killah Priest, fuckin'… Sons of… what was it… I don’t even know. I fuckin' bought all them CD’s just cause they had Wu-Tang signs on them. My room was done to the max. Every article, fuckin'… pictures, posters, you name it, I had it. I mean, obsessed isn’t even the word, dude. That’s what got me into music. That changed my life. Totally.

In this song, both Googie GoHard and D Lec definitely show off their rhyming talents.

Googie sets the mood with his smooth, laidback line delivery, before Danimal comes through with a harsh attack through his rhymes, taking a shot at Mac Miller and relaying one message: Be yourself.

The term “been here for a minute” is popular slang for, say, “a long time”. It derives from the old saying “A New York minute”.

And Webby has certainly been here for a while, having dropped mixtapes as far back as 2009, which is when The White Noise LP (his first mixtape) dropped.
