Love is all about who lands the first punch!

Bio

“The Tomboyish Mermaid!”

Oh Misty. Her Pokémon are noticeably stronger than Brock’s – she’s a formidable opponent.

Basic Info

Gym name: Cerulean Gym
Badge name: Cascade Badge
Difficulty: 7/10

Pokémon

Level 18 Staryu
Moves: Tackle, Water Gun

Level 21 Starmie
Moves: Tackle, Harden, Water Gun, Bubblebeam

Tips

Misty uses Water type Pokémon exclusively, so your best bet is a Grass or Electric type -if you didn’t start with Bulbasaur, this means catching a Pikachu in Viridian Forest. Even if you use the right Pokémon she can be tough, so be cautious. Before facing her, make sure you heal up. Use Grass and Electric moves only and don’t be afraid to use potions.

Pokémon saved me during the war! They zapped my enemies into paralysis! The same as I’ll do to you!

Bio

“The Lightning American!”

Lt. Surge is a veteran who apparently utilized his Pokémon in war during his service. The man with a pun for a name is militant in his Pokémon training.

Basic Info

Gym Name: Vermillion Gym
Badge Name: Thunder Badge
Difficulty: 5/10

Pokémon

Level 21 Voltorb
Moves: Tackle, Screetch, Sonic Boom

Level 18 Pikachu
Moves: Thundershock, Thunderwave, Growl, Quick Attack

Level 24 Raichu
Moves: Thunderbolt, Thundershock, Thunderwave, Growl

Tips

Ground type Pokémon are the best to use here, as Pikachu and Raichu’s only good moves are electric, and electric moves do no damage to Ground types. Ground types also do double damage to Electric type Pokemon. Try to catch a Diglett or Dugtrio with Dig or Magnitude in Diglett’s Cave, or, if playing Blue or LeafGreen, a Sandshrew on Route 4. Grass and Electric types also resist Electric type attacks.
Finally, watch out for Voltorb’s Sonic Boom – this will always take off 20 HP. Try to finish Voltorb off quickly, ideally without your Ground type taking damage.

I believe in rock-hard defense and determination!

Bio

“The Rock-Solid Pokémon Trainer!”

Brock is the first gym leader met in both Pokemon Red/Blue, and the show. He is one of the friendliest gym leaders.

Basic info

Gym name: Pewter Gym
Badge name: Boulder badge
Difficulty: 2/10

Pokemon

Level 12 Geodude
Moves: Tackle, Defensive Curl

Level 14 Onix
Moves: Tackle, Bide, Screech, Bind

Tips

Rock type Pokémon take double damage against Water, Fighting, Ground, and Grass type moves. In the remakes, they are also weak to Steel moves.

As Geodude and Onix are both dual-typed Rock and Ground, either Bulbasaur or Squirtle will have little trouble defeating them with Vine Whip or Water Gun. Things are trickier with Charmander. Spamming Ember should make Onix weak enough for a level 5 Rattatta to finish off with Quick Attack. On the remakes, Charmander learns Metal Claw at level 13, which makes things much easier!

Tricks in Skate 3 range from grabs and flicks, to flips and spins.

Most things are performed by the right stick, called the “flick stick”. You can do an ollie simply by pushing down and then flicking up on the right stick. More complicated tricks require you to be precise with your flicks, moving in all different directions.

Grabs are performed by the bumper buttons. You hold on to at least on of them and then hold the right stick in a certain direction, and you will perform that certain grab.

Flips are performed with the right stick. Front flip is holding the left stick forward, backflip is holding it backwards. A miracle whip is when you use both grab buttons and perform a from or backflip.

Grinds are pretty simple. You just have to land on a grindable flat surface and maintain speed. You can hold the RS in a certain direction to grind a different way. You can also tap R1 to do a darkslide, which is grinding with your board upside down. To exit a darkslide, you tap R1 again.

Plants are performed with X and Square (PS3) or A and X (Xbox 360), plus a grab button. While on the ground, the 2 back bumpers plus one of the buttons lets you do a footplant into the air.

While in a bowl or at the top of a ramp, you press R1 plus a direction on the right stick. This let’s you do a handplant.

Spins are really simple. Holding left or right on the left stick mid air spins in that direction. This gives you more points in a trick and is essential for long point runs.

This is the first we hear of the Chicago Mafia boss, John Abruzzi.

We later discover John is important to Scofield’s plan, due to his connections with Prison Industries and his ability to provide an escape plane.

#SPOILERS

John Abruzzi’s death is the only one of the Fox River 8 that was by choice.

I swear to God, I’d rather die than go back, there’s no going back, never ever again.

When trapped by Agent Mahone, Abruzzi walks out and pulls out a pistol. He knew this would cause officers to fire on him.

Dan Cooper is a famed criminal who hijacked a 727 aircraft, extorted $200,000 in ransom money, and then parachuted out of the plane. It is uncertain what exactly happened to Dan, and there is an ongoing FBI investigation on it at this very moment.

D.B Cooper has become a slang word/epithet for an individual who has performed similar actions to the actual D.B Cooper. Sucre is insinuating that Westmoreland is the D.B Cooper in the flesh, despite the numbers not quite matching up.

The viewer can later see this exchange as dramatic irony since Syd is unaware that Michael’s tattoos are for breaking his brother out of jail.

This is foreshadowing the reveal that Michael did all this to break his brother out of jail. Michael doesn’t have a few years, because his brother is going to be executed before then. If only he had more time.

LeBron James is one of the most hated figures in basketball. In large part due to his hour long “The Special” episode on ESPN, where he broadcast to the world that he was leaving home state Ohio to take his talents down to South Beach.. This was after Lebron entered free agency, following a semi-finals loss to the Orlando Magic in the 2009 NBA Playoffs.

Since Lebron is so despised, many nicknames have arose to make fun of him. LeBrick, LeFlop and LeSuck are just a few. Lebroning is the newest meme, where people have taken to twitter to post pictures about how wimpy Lebron was being, striking a mocking pained pose with others carrying them. They don’t care that LeBron was legitimately in pain, because most people will jump at every chance to make fun of him.
