Ristar runs often rely on luck and RNG, and this time around the RNG Gods just weren’t in Breakdown’s favor. He did, however, cut down below the 30:00 mark, which was his goal.

clear had a near perfect run despite a few minor mistakes. That was until the 3rd to last boss came along. clear died and lost a lot of time in the overall. As twitch chat would say, his run was RIP in pepperonis. No other major mistakes were made though, and his time wasn’t too terribly bad, especially considering this was his first time running hardmode.

ShadowJacky has a twitch stream where he speedruns mostly Sonic games as well as Rocket Knight Adventures. He owns the current world record for Rocket Knight Adventures at 27:50.

In this run, Shadow died a total of four times causing him major setbacks. However, due to fantastic strats with bosses and some quite clean segments, he gained time back and got a very respectable total time.

Edenal and darbian had been trading world records between each other leading up to ADGQ 2015, each time the other person besting the other. New tricks were constantly being discovered, and runs were always being.

The race was neck and neck the entire time, but in the beginning Edenal got the 1-frame catapult before darbian did and maintained his lead until the end. Edenal in general made a few less mistakes than darbian.

Interesting tactics: 1-frame catapult jump, out of bounds warping, damage boosting, stapler jump.
