At this point, most fans who had been following WWE since 2014 Survivor Series knew what Rollins wanted.

The Authority was taken out of power by Team Cena at Survivor Series, per the stipulation added by Vince McMahon. Vince also added that the only person that could put them back into power was John Cena himself.

One could assume that at this point, Rollins was holding Edge hostage until Cena reinstated The Authority.

Seth Rollins' Curb Stomp is a feared finisher no matter who it’s performed on. However, Edge, like many other wrestlers, dealt with cervical spinal stenosis that eventually forced him to retire. Still to this day, Edge can’t deal with trauma to his neck or spine, or else he’d be paralyzed or killed.

Therefore, both in-kayfabe and out of it, a Curb Stomp to Edge would be especially dangerous. Seth is trying to pull at Cena’s emotions.

Seth asserts that, in his short time here in the WWE, he is already better than the retired veteran, Edge.

Edge refers to his celebration of winning the WWE Championship in 2006 here. The Monday Night Raw after New Year’s Revolution 2006, Edge and his girlfriend Lita had live sex in the ring, under covers of course. No, I’m not kidding. Watch it here, viewer’s discretion is advised, yada yada yada.

Edge lets Seth know that even if he tried to replicate the insane celebration with Big Show, he wouldn’t reach his popularity level.

For someone who’s “the future of the WWE”, having no charisma could be a problem.

All jokes aside, while this looks like Edge is simply taking a stab at Seth Rollins, it’s likely a reference to Christian’s nickname and gimmick “Captain Charisma” as well.

Any move that is done incorrectly is a botch. Botches are much more common in independent wrestling promotions, but do happen on occasion in the WWE.

The results of botches can be simply making a move look weird, to a wrestler getting seriously injured. Eddie Guerrero nearly bled out from a botched chairshot by JBL.

Depending on the severity of the botch, commentators will attempt to play it off as if it was normal. Wrestlers that botch too often usually don’t get pushes, because matches filled with botches look sloppy and are dangerous for all involved.

Face is the business term for “good guy” wrestler. Any wrestler that essentially doesn’t do “bad guy” things is categorized as a face. Most of the time, faces stand up for what is right and oppose anything heel related.

Faces almost never get disqualified in matches, rarely use weapons, never run from a fight, and usually never attack someone from behind.

Typical face wrestlers include: John Cena, The Usos, Rey Mysterio.

There are of course exceptions to the rule when it comes to face wrestlers. Wrestlers like Dean Ambrose and Stone Cold Steve Austin perform actions that heel wrestlers usually do, but they present themselves in a way that makes the fans cheer for them.

A storyline that a feud is built on, usually involving one heel wrestler and one face wrestler. Angles range from betrayal, to David vs Goliath, to man vs boss, to invasions from one company to another. Without an angle or storyline, fans often can’t get behind a feud at all. They are very necessary parts of booking.

Not to be confused with Kurt Angle

The only individual that could put The Authority back into power is the one man (except Sting and Dolph Ziggler) that caused them to fall out of power in the first place. John Cena.

Seth Rollins tried pleading with Cena originally. However, now that that has failed, Rollins wishes to make Cena pay and essentially force him to re-instate The Authority.

Chris Jericho challenged Brock Lesnar’s advocate and manager, Paul Heyman, to a no-DQ match.

However, before the match could even begin, Lesnar interfered, protected his manager, and gave Jericho an F-5.

Seth Rollins acknowledges that Jericho was partially in the wrong. However, he believes it’s still wrong to attack the GM and thinks the only reason that could’ve happened is because The Authority isn’t in power.
