In Pulp Fiction, one of Tarantino’s most popular movies, Jules' wallet has “BAD MOTHER FUCKER” written on it. This wallet happens to be Tarantino’s personal wallet. Since a wallet is a symbol of wealth, Tarantino’s letting you know he’s loaded and has a big dick.

Tarantino ends this verse with a “trunk shot”. This type of shot appears in almost every one of his movies, and hints that he has just killed his competition with this verse and dumped their bodies in his trunk.

Show creator Eric Falconer revealed that Alex’s character is loosely based off of Bill Murray’s character in Stripes.

Alex is played by Darin Brooks. Which is interesting considering his biggest role before he joined TV’s raunchiest comedy was Max Brooks on the soap opera Days of Our Lives.

One of the show’s more serious storylines is Alex’s growth from a backup without any ambition to a starter with a chance at an NFL career. It isn’t for the holiest of reasons – it’s mainly because he realizes girls don’t want to sleep with future gym teachers – but Alex does get more ambitious and competitive as the show progresses.

I think we talked about that, in the beginning of the first season of the show, Alex even stated “I’m gonna be a high school gym teacher…” and he’s fine with that! But I think like any character that we see GROW in a show over time and grow up with these brothers in his frat house, he goals in life grow up as well. I think by this time in the series, he’s been through so much with his brobeanses in the Goat House that he might finally WANT to be a leader and see the value of his talent and try to go pro!!

One of the running jokes throughout the series is that even though Thad is an alpha male in many ways – All-Star linebacker, partier, and womanizer – there are a lot of homosexual undertones with his character. Whether he’s saying “getting pounded” instead of “hammered”, forcing the team to slap his ass, or threatening to take out his sexual frustrations on Alex, he usually drops at least one quote an episode that makes you raise an eyebrow.

Actor Alan Ritchson says that Thad’s character was shaped by the insecurities of his high school bullies, so it makes sense for the seemingly homophobic Thad to actually be the gayest:

I used a few of the douchebag guys I hated in high school to build Thad. I didn’t hit puberty till I was 17 so I got bullied at times. He’s based off those guys. But I exaggerate his insecurities, which I know are in those guys, and it’s why they bully. Thad gives us the picture of what these guys might be like behind closed doors.

This proves to be very ironic as the season progresses, because it becomes very clear that Denise is only with Craig because he’s a star, and will do anything to help with his career – even let a transexual hooker go down on her.

One of the show’s main storylines was supposed to be Shilo’s transformation from model citizen to a “Radon-type” character throughout the series. This was made impossible when the actor that played Craig, Sam Jones III, was arrested for giving money to a childhood friend that planned to buy 10,000 oxycodone pills.

He was released from prison in October 2012, and has promoted the BMS movie kickstarter, so it’s possible that we’ll see the return of Shilo on the big screen.
