He wasn’t happy with his approach, it was easy to tell by the language that the microphones caught, but he still landed it within 25 feet of the pin. He sank the birdie putt anyway, to start off the day -1 and tied for the lead through 2 holes.

At the National League’s All-Star Game press conference, the Red’s Second Baseman was asked if he thinks he’s the best player in the game. He replied: “I’m not going to say I’m the best. I have the most swag. But I’m not the best.”

He showed some of this #swag with a great bare-handed double play in the 5th.

The reigning Triple Crown winner, and current league-leader in Batting Average and RBIs reminded everyone that he’s the best hitter in baseball by leading off the 4th inning with an effortless double to the right field wall. He then scored on a Jose Bautista sac fly.

He also did a little dance right before scoring on Jose Bautista’s sac-fly.

No, there wasn’t an earthquake in New York in the middle of the All-Star game, that was just Prince Fielder sliding into third for a triple.

The man who has only had 10 triples in his career, hit one off of Jason Grilli while Tim McCarver, for some reason, recites the chorus to Enter Sandman.

Rivera, pitching in his last of 13 All-Star games, was awarded the MVP. Instead of pitching his usual 9th inning, the 43 year-old closer pitched the 8th because AL manager Jim Leyland didn’t want to risk Rivera not being able to throw if the game didn’t need a bottom of the 9th. But the change didn’t phase Mo. He retired three straight to become the first pitcher to be named the All-Star Game MVP since Pedro Martinez in 1999.

Check out the great standing ovation he got as he ran onto the field to “Enter Sandman”, as well as the perfect 1-2-3 inning by the greatest closer of all-time:
