i always thought i would be famous tomorrow. this music thing can’t be a game for me until i’m playing. i’m still not famous. my music isn’t widely known. so i’m not playing.

every minute i’m not making a living doing what i love takes away from the other half of my life wherein i am doing so. i’m trynna maximize my time on the latter side. that’s what this album is for.

and this is important – i’m using a Chance flow here because i respect him as an artist & was inspired by when he used it here

u know how ppl are like “that one time when…blah blah blah” they’re usually telling a story about a past time – i.e. reminiscing.

or Raleigh/Durham by way of the DMV.

& it’s my opinion that if i wasn’t to leave both areas i would never have had the experiences i needed to become great. nor would i have certain friends i now consider fam. nor would i have met the connects/mentors i have now. it would have been a long depressing road to mediocrity if i had not physically left my comfort zone
