On a deep level I think Lupe is saying that impressing your peers shouldn’t be your motivation when making important decisions in your life (e.g. what car to buy or what type of woman to settle with).

While it’s tempting to go with the cool option that looks good in the short term (“Ferrari” / “Ho”), you’ll be left with a bad deal in the long term (Ferrari’s value / Hoes good looks dropping at unreasonable rates) while still being “expensive” and “way too hard to maintain”.

Don’t try and emulate the stereotypical rap culture, instead think for yourself and make the sensible/reliable choice (Camry) no matter what peers might say “Nigga said a Camry?”

I’m quite sure there’s a double entendre here. I won’t go over the first meaning since it has already been accepted by rapgenius. The second meaning goes like this: When Lupe says “nigga said a camry?” he is emulated the response one would get when choosing a camry over a ferrari given the ability afford it. The reason for this response is explained in the next line: “watch that hoe depreciate then you’ll understand me”. Depreciate means to lose value but also “to think or speak of as being of little value”, in this case he is saying people (mainly ho’s) would dismiss you for making such a choice.

fyi Lupe has a ferrari collection, but it isnt to show off his wealth like an image, he suggesting a camry because reliable cars have good resale value. When you experience this it serves a lesson on how to manage your money and how to invest it properly.
