ANTHM refers to this line from Eminem’s song “Stan”.

Stan’s character is that of an obsessed fan (thus the origin of the hip-hop meme of “stanning”), who ultimately kills himself, his wife, and their unborn baby simply because Eminem wasn’t writing back.

This line states that rapppers are acting crazy for the tiniest of things. This is most likely due to their limited vision of what’s important. Is it more important to have substancial goods and wealth, or good music with a positive message to it?

In the previous verse, Edison said that if he hadn’t invented the light bulb, the record, ect there would be no rap battle. In the video, we see Tesla turns the lights back on with Edisons light bulb, gesturing at it (“touch me with this?”), and then summons lightning to illuminate the battle.

What is meant by this is to show the insignificance of Edison and his inventions. If Edison hadn’t been there, someone else would’ve most likely invented everything he did, and when compared to Tesla’s dreams of global free energy, Edison’s inventions and contributions are quite insignificant.
