Ab-Soul is referencing The Pharcyde’s Passin' Me by. In “Passin' Me By”, Fatlip says:

My dear, my dear, my dear
You do not know me but I know you very well

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QjsPG0Kspxo&feature=youtu.be&t=3m33s

This song as well as “Passin' Me By,” both use the same sample, Quincy Jones‘ 1973 song, “Summer In The City”, from his You’ve Got It Bad, Girl album.

Real Hip-Hoppers will hear this song and know that Pharcyde made this particular sample popular. Ab-Soul is acknowledging the fact that Pharcyde flipped it first.

Big Body Bes gives a shoutout to Dominicans in NYC. Washington Heights in Upper Manhattan is known for it’s large Dominican population.

In that part of Manhattan, the street numbers are pretty high, hence why Bes mentions 172nd and 174th Streets.

Dominicans are also stereotyped as being drug dealers. That’s not to say that it’s not true. Washington Heights is known for drug dealing and a lot of people head Uptown to buy drugs.

Bes doesn’t want an ounce of weed, he wants 40 dimebags of weed worth $400 in a brown bag, on some old school shit.

In keeping with the Dominican theme, Bes uses a popular Dominican slang word, “tato”, which could mean “it’s alright” or “bye” depending on the context. Walking down the street in the Heights, you can hear lots of young cats saying that word.

Chimichurri Burgers are a popular Dominican fast food dish that consists of grilled ground pork or beef with lettuce and tomato and lots of sauce (people make the sauce differently). Bes likes his “chimi’s” with an overload of sauce.

In the Heights (or other parts of NYC with a significant amount of Dominicans), you might spot a Chimi Truck on the street. The way Americans eat hot dogs is how Dominicans eat “chimi’s”.
