Meyhem Lauren is a member of the Lo Lifes. They started out as a Brooklyn gang known for boosting Polo clothing (hence the “Lo” part of the name) and have grown into a Hip Hop crew including rappers such as Meyhem & Thirstin Howl The 3rd. “2 L’s” stands for “Lo Lifes” but it’s a reference to their hand sign, in which they make two interlocking L’s using both hands.

Because of horrible cleaning practices by many of the fish markets in Flushing, Queens, the place tends to have a rancid smell, especially during the summer. Also, because of high toxicity, nearby Flushing Bay smells like rotten eggs.
Many of the Asian members of the Flushing community have a habit of squatting down to smoke cigarettes if a seat isn’t available.

“The Symphony” is a legendary rap posse cut featuring Kool G. Rap, Craig G., Masta Ace and Big Daddy Kane. It was produced by Marley Marl and featured on his “In Control: Volume 1” album from 1988.
