Crooked I started Hip Hop Weekly, in which he would take an instrumental from a song, and spit his own verses. He did this for a whole year and grouped them as a sort of mixtape. He planned to do it for another year, calling it Hip Hop Weekly Reloaded, and only finished 15 weeks until his idea got “swaggerjacked” by other artists, such as Kanye West, and he focused on his EPs and mixtapes rather than these songs.

These are some very clever lines.

Noah was instructed to build an ark to save himself, his family, and God’s creatures from a giant flood.

Demetrius is relating his childhood situation of being forgotten about, living on the streets, and facing many hardships while growing up, to Noah.

He feels like he was abandoned by Noah’s Ark and left to drown on his own. Instead of boarding Noah’s Ark (ship) he had his own hardships, which unfortunately did little to aid in his sense of drowning.
