I’ve been saying it’s my year every year for the past couple of years, lmao. I’m through saying it and I would rather show you it’s my year through my music.

“All this happened, more or less” is the first line from Kurt Vonnegut’s book Slaughterhouse-Five a satirical novel which takes place during WWII. Vonnegut was present during the firebombing which is the central event, but the work he based his information on concerning the damage (The Destruction of Dresden) overstated a lot of the actual damage, so I’m referencing that as an unreliable narrator which credits the whole metaphorical aspect of the song. Also, he says “So it goes,” whenever death is present and the name of the song is The End of the World.

He’s had all of this anger built up in him that destroyed his outlook, or at least his positive outlook, on life; this is more of a high to him and he feels more alive than he ever did before.

He can’t fight his dad because he might be too strong or because the repercussions might be too much, so he beats up and takes his anger out on his younger brother because he looks more like his dad.

Rosa Parks, while not the first one to refuse to move on a bus, is one of the most prominent faces of the civil rights movements. My attitude/personality might lead some to think that i’m undermining her struggle by not taking advantage of the opportunities it led to.
