The line that started it all:

Wale, you must know Im on my stuntin shit
Throwin round wallets like the dude that Kid Cudi hit

(from Wale’s “Thank You Freestyle”)

Wale and Kid Cudi were good friends, but Cudi interpreted Wale’s bars about Cudi’s fan-punching incident as a diss. Cudi fired back in an interview with Complex Magazine, and this created the tension.

Cole is making a football reference here. One of the defense’s objectives is to sack the Quarterback before he can pass the ball. When a QB scrambles, it means he runs out of the protection of his lineman in order to avoid getting sacked

Cole’s haters are trying to stop his success (sack him), but he scrambles and avoids them like a football quarterback.

3K has women (wetness) around him, but not all the way around him like an island, more like a peninsula. It also plays into all of the crying around him now that he is no longer single.

Peninsulas are surrounded by water on most sides, but are still connected to a landmass, a la Florida

This could also allude to the John Donne poem “No Man is an Island”, which infers that a man’s actions will always affect another man, which relates to the context of the song in which Andre’s marriage is making his friends sad. He’s affected by his emotions but he is attached to something solid, his bride, who keeps him grounded and makes him a peninsula.
