Les perles se trouvent dans des coquillages.
La carapace du coquillage enferme la perle.
L'homme qui est en maison d'arrêt est enfermé dans un endroit délimité, tout comme la perle dans le coquillage.
Ces perles sont utiles dans le luxe, dans la mode : elles acquièrent donc une certaine valeur auprès de l'homme.
