Saba has been overcome with depression and feels he deserves it, being stuck in a cycle of self-loathing. This is due in part to the fact that he feels he left a good girl simply for a good time, leaving the girl he truly cared about lonely in return.

Depression is a complex mental disorder that can be triggered by a variety of factors, including genetics and stress from traumatic events that happen throughout one’s life. People with early trauma are especially vulnerable.

Saba has been through many traumatic instances in his life, some of which he details well on his song, “PROM / KING”. On that song, Saba talks in depth about the life and death of his close friend and family member, John Walt.

Saba keeps the obituary of Walter, aka John Walt, where he sleeps. Walt’s life, and the things Saba has learned from him, are a recurring theme throughout this album. Here, Saba states that he needs not mourn anymore, as he can simply live his life in Walt’s memory.

Here, Meech uses sex as imagery to explain the process of obtaining a new gun and killing someone with it. ‘Nina’ represents a gun. ‘Virgin’ represents that the gun has never been shot. ‘Bout to pop a cherry’ represents the fact that he is going to fire it and hit an enemy, leaving blood on their clothes.

Zombie Juice, and the rest of the Flatbush Zombies, are well known for their outspoken love of marijuana. The feeling you get from the drug usually allows you to feel laid back and chilled out. A synonym for this chill state is the word “froze”. Much like the month of February keeps many parts of America literally frozen, weed keeps Zombie Juice frozen in his own way.

Saying that a diamond “hits” is another way of saying that they shine. He compares the way his diamonds “hit” to the infamous case of Chris Brown assaulting Rihanna in 2009.

Additionally, Meechy gives a nod to Three 6 Mafia and their hit single, “Stay Fly”, as he feels his shiny diamonds make him personally fly.

Meech has various illegal drugs on him, including shrooms and LSD.

Truffles are an edible delicacy from the same family as mushrooms, known for their aroma. Although they are often used in culinary and aren’t directly considered a drug, truffles do actually contain psilocybin, meaning they do have some psycho-active properties.

Additionally, when talking about sheets, Meech is not referring to the ones we put on our bed, but to LSD which come in ‘sheets’ of bigger blotting paper that are usually divided into single doses.

Calvin Cambridge is an orphan from the movie Like Mike, in which a boy puts on a magical pair of shoes and suddenly has the same skill level of Michael Jordan. In this instance, Juice is playing on the double meaning of “ballin'”. His expensive Margiela shoes show that he is ballin' (making lots of money) in a way that is comparable to how much Michael Jordan was literally ballin' on the court.
