As deep as Dawson's Creek and shit Couch by Earl Sweatshirt (Ft. Tyler The Creator)

A play on the TV show — like the creek in Dawson’s, Odd Future rolls deeeeep. Ladiez — who’s cuter, Tyler or Pacey???

Also a mocking statement on how some people find the shows emotional content “deep.”

Drunk off English Bourbon Couch by Earl Sweatshirt (Ft. Tyler The Creator)

Bourbon — by definition — has to come from Bourbon County, Kentucky. “English Bourbon” doesn’t really exist

Which means: if it doesn’t exist, therefore Tyler isn’t getting drunk, as he claims he’s straight edge. Another tyler paradox.

Erick Sermon Couch by Earl Sweatshirt (Ft. Tyler The Creator)

Erick Sermon (the “E” in old-school rap group EPMD) is a rapper/producer. Tyler uses his name here because it fits in the rhyme scheme and to connect to his use of the word “sermon” a few lines earlier

She's sliding on Blueprint
Three
Epar by Earl Sweatshirt (Ft. Vince Staples)

Jay-Z’s album The Blueprint is a modern day classic. Earl, however, is actually referencing Jay’s The Blueprint 3. He does this by using a “before and after” rap, which he often does (the word “three” begins the next line)

While the original Blueprint was released when Earl was 7 years old, the trilogy finale is more recent and was released in the same year as Eminem’s Relapse (2009)

Jay’s album is much more “girl friendly”

I'm just a Chi-town nigga with a Nas flow Dark Fantasy by Kanye West

He’s comparing his rap style to that of Nas, an East Coaster (does Kanye have region envy?), while punning on the word nice with his Midwestern (Chi-town = Chicago) lilt.

Notice the irony in the line: Kanye is just a Chi-Town nigga with a Nas flow. A “nigga” with a flow like Nas' isn’t just a nigga!

This line is reminiscent to Common’s line in “Southside”, which featured Kanye:

Back in ‘94 they call me Chi-town’s Nas
Now them niggas know I’m one of Chi-town’s gods

It’s funny how a slight difference in pronunciation distinguishes a downplay (I’m just a nigga with a nice flow) from a self-celebration (I’m just a nigga with a Nas flow), and an ironic one: if you have a flow like Nas you aren’t “just a nigga”. Most likely an intentional wordplay

Me drown sorrow in that Diablo Dark Fantasy by Kanye West

A Diablo is a cocktail with tequila, creme de cassis, and lime.

Is Kanye drinking one of these girly-ass drinks? Or is he dealing with pain by driving a Lamborghini Diablo (more stylish..)

Diablo is also Spanish for Devil. This leads to a number of different and interesting readings.

First, it’s an ironic, almost tongue-in-cheek echo of his Me no hablo: he speaks enough Spanish to know his habits are leading him to devilish ends, and his use of Me instead of I is playfully mocking the way non-native English speakers sometimes use pronouns.

Drowning sorrow in the devil suggests self-destructive or unmoral pastimes. The preposition in, taking on a sexual meaning, could imply he’s figuratively in bed with the devil as well.

Interestingly enough, this is also a reference to later on in the album. Getting in the devil directly foreshadows Devil In A Red Dress. West’s fascination with the duality of religion — God v. the Devil, prayer v. sin, etc. — is very marked throughout the album.
