A crypt is an underground chamber which is usually used for burial. If the night is crypt then it’s deathly or spooky. It could also be a reference to cryptic, which means mysterious or ambiguous.

That second line is obviously a play on words, referencing himself as being the new ’D'(Detroit) MC after Em, whilst incorporating the name of the group ‘Run DMC’ which he could also be saying he is the new version of. Also, “it runs in the family” is a reference to Reverand Run(of Run DMC)’s MTV reality show ‘Run’s House’, where the show is based around him and his family, so this could be viewed as a triple entendre

“I’m Geechee, hoe” as in I’m “country”, i.e. from the south. Geechee is a term used often by those in the south to represent those who are direct descendants of african slaves and often used in a playful manner to describe those who speak in a dialect often not understood by northerners or most Americans for that matter. How do I know this? My dad’s family is Geechee.

Historically speaking, “Geechee” is not a fill-in for the phrase “I’m country/from the South”. The Gullah Geechee people ARE descendants of the enslaved Africans who were forcibly brought to the American colonies, however, US Federal guidelines show that the Gullah Geechee Cultural Heritage Corridor (the place where the majority of these descendants live) stretches along the coast from Jacksonville, Flordia to Jacksonville, North Carolina, and thirty miles inland. With Rick Ross being born in Mississippi and raised in Carol City, Florida, it is highly unlikely that Rich Ross is indeed, Geechee. He, like many rap artist, have bent the meaning of this word, and the people it represents, for his own personal benefit.

cant believe nobody caught this.. but the whole “line is off the hook” thing could have many different meanings. 1. The obvious, the line of the phone is off the hook so he cannot reach home 2. The line (of a fishing pole) is off the hook meaning he cannot get what he wants (metaphorical fish) and the fish being calling home 3. The line that he says is in a verse so its literally not on a hook (maybe a stretch) 4.Because of all the meanings, the final one is that the line that he just said is so clever that its referring to the saying “it’s off the hook”

After claiming he doesn’t speak Spanish, Ye ironically mentions “Diablo” – the Spanish word for Devil. This is also the name of another Lamborghini super-car.

While Kanye plays on the concept of selling your soul to the devil (being “in bed with the devil” is mentioned later in the album), he finds this vice powers his ego.

Песня рассказывает о многочисленных конфликтах государств и народов, о том как “вышка” государств регулирует происходящее, создаёт мнимые цели и врагов, говорит, что все проблемы из-за “них”, а мы хорошие, хотя всё происходящее на руку той “счастливой десятке” (дюжине, двадцатке и тп) причём исчисляется это всё лишь мясом и нулями.

Вариантов толкования довольно много и трактовка текста многогранна (спасибо прекрасному дуэту). Но если коротко и конкретно по вопросу, то Ваня и Саша мечтают о мире.

Иордан – это огромная метафора о разных народах и религиях, которые воюют и борятся за превосходство между собой. Когда-то, давным-давно, долина реки Иордан была тропическим раем и цветником жизни. Сегодня мы можем узреть совсем малую часть той природы, потому что войны разного рода и, как следствие, катаклизмы осушили воды. Своё начало Иордан берёт у подножья горы Хермон, на которой те самые ледники должны таять и давать силу реке. (Кстати, наполняя озеро Кинерет, а потом ещё и Мёртвое море, которые также значительно усохли). Если есть пресная вода, то значит все “сыты” и нет нужды и смысла вести борьбу за ресурсы/территории/влияние.

«Иордан» – единственная композиция, созданная в 2014 году. Строки припева «Ледники растают, восполнится Иордан. О, все помирятся. Шалом алейхем, Алейкум салам, Ом» – объединяют еврейское, исламское, индуистское приветствия. Noize MC написал тексты куплетов под созданный Сашей Соколовой припев. Несмотря на тяжелейшие испытания, выпавшие на долю группы в 2014 году, песня «Иордан» – светлая и оптимистичная. Кто-то проецирует её на события в Украине, кто-то рассуждает об арабо-израильском конфликте, кто-то о противостоянии мировых держав. Но всё намного проще — эта песня за МИР.
