The word “noodle” is commonly used to refer to one’s brain, and Eminem’s brain is discombobulated throughout the whole song. “Ramen soup” also sounds a little like “rhymin' soup”; Eminem’s mind is just a soup of rhymes.

If noodles are tied up in a knot, they could resemble nooses, hence “pasta noose”. The way Eminem pronounces “pasta noose” makes it sound like Posdnuos. Trugoy the Dove and Posdnuos are both members of the hip-hop group De La Soul.

This plays on the double meaning of “get off.” In the literal sense, it simply means to leave the elevator. Additionally, to “get off” also means to have sexual relations with someone. After exploring some options, they decide to have sex on a particular floor.

A “lab rat” commonly describes an animal, a person, or a thing used in scientific experiments, but in this context, Eminem uses the term to convey how he’s been in the studio making music for decades. He was born to rap, as if he was specifically created for the purpose of rapping, via a test tube.

To tha Rescue is the second and final studio album by rapper D-Nice, released on November 26, 1991. Fila Fresh Crew was a hip-hop group from Dallas, Texas consisting of members Fresh K, Dr. Rock, and DOC, who were active in 1987-1988. Eminem himself started dabbling in rapping as early as 1988, under the stage name MC Double M.

Now that Eminem has gained a lot of fame, skill, and momentum, there is nothing that can get in his way. He has progressed so much in his music career that he has reached a point where he is more or less untouchable. He mentions two moments from the start of his career to illustrate his progression.

In 1997, Eminem joined the Scribble Jam event, a freestyle rap competition, where he came in second place after losing to battle rapper Juice. “Live at the Barbeque” is a 1991 track by Main Source, featuring Nas' first recording ever, a verse that made everyone excited for his 1994 debut album, Illmatic. On his 1996 debut album, Infinite, Eminem sort of emulated Nas' style, and sounded a lot like him, which he commented on in a verified annotation. Also, Eminem stated in 2014’s “Guts Over Fear” that being likened to “AZ and Nas” is what prompted him to “change [his] style.” At this point in his career, his style is unique and wholly his own, and there is no battle that he cannot win.

“Au jus” is a French culinary term that means “with juice,” referring to meat served with a side of broth created from the meat’s own cooking fluids. “Au jus” also functions as a slant homophone for “I was you.” Eminem also uses the phrase “au jus” on his 2013 song “Evil Twin,” where he raps:
