Eminem introduced himself to the world with “My Name Is” where he opened the first verse with the line, “Hi, kids! Do you like violence?”

Em points out the hypocrisy of the public questioning his violent lyrics when they allow their under-age kids to watch violent movies, a visual depiction being far more horrific than words in a song. “Guidance” refers to the MPAA rating “parental guidance.”

In The Terminator we see Schwarzenegger using an Uzi.

Also, leaving your kids with a 17 year old in a movie theater could be seen as unwise, continuing on the theme of lack of responsibility.

This is also a reference to an episode of Yo! MTV Raps. In Episode 12 of Season 2, Fab 5 Freddy introduced the episode by commenting on the controversy over Body Count’s “Cop Killer”, a song about murdering racist police officers which enraged police unions and social conservatives, forcing Ice-T to remove the song from the album. In his speech, he specifically chides the culture at large accepting “Schwarzenegger killing hundreds and hundreds of people in a movie”, but not being able to cope with “words on vinyl”.

Note the subverted rhyme on Schwarzenegger/sorts of these motherfuckers. The awkward scansion of the line reinforces that Eminem could have said another word there, but chose not to – underlining the theme of him being the socially responsible one in that situation.

Prim' refers to Kenneth “Supreme” McGriff who was a well-known drug dealer in Queens, NY. He is supposedly the one who put a hit out on 50, a hit which 50 ended up surviving. Thus Supreme knows better than others how 50 is a stubborn bastard who just refuses to give up.

These lines are also a direct reference to “Back Down,” off 2003’s Get Rich Or Die Tryin'.

Teflon is the material used in bullet-proof vests. Due to the shooting he suffered he now makes sure he’s got his bullet-proof vest on when he visits the hood. People walk around with guns in the hood and you never know when one of them is gonna come for you.

He would also wear them while performing live.

Em uses music as a form of therapy, so he never imagined he would gain this type of recognition. His music has caused a lot of controversy, and has even led people to blame him for hate crimes. Even though people like to point fingers at him, millions of people still willingly bought his music. However, it’s not his songs that bring out the evil in others, he’s just the scapegoat. It was never his intention to make people commit crazy acts.

Cause when I smoke out I hit the trees harder than Sonny Bono (oh no!)

Eminem mocks former Superman actor Christopher Reeve and the death of Sonny Bono, while describing a wild party. Sonny Bono died hitting trees in a skiing accident. Christopher Reeve ended up in a wheelchair after a horse-riding accident. SKI means to “snort cocaine,” “hitting some trees” is to smoke weed, and “horse” is slang for heroin.

At the time of Sonny Bono’s death, he had been addicted to prescription drugs, mainly Vicodin and Valium. Many claimed that Sonny’s drug use caused the accident.

This is a response to everyone thinking Eminem means what he raps, as if his music being played in the tape deck somehow makes him physically appear in your car ready to jump you.

He elaborates on this concept later on the Relapse skit “Tonya”.

It’s quite common for non-believers to instantly turn to God when they realize their life is in jeopardy, in order to salvage their soul, so they beg for mercy in their dying minutes. That’s just not how it works and 50 Cent sees the foolishness in this.

A Jack-in-the-box is a children’s toy which is a box with a crank. When you turn the crank, a tune will play, and when the tune ends, the lid will open and a clown will pop out the box. 50 Cent got his aim on your head and will make your brain pop out in a similar fashion.
