50 Cent’s mother, Sabrina, was tragically murdered when he was eight, but this doesn’t mean he stopped wanting to make her proud. He uses the memory of her as a source of inspiration to achieve great things.

He’s living the life; attractive women are always available to seduce him when he’s in the mood, tech-proficient people are willing to handle all the tech-related matters he doesn’t understand, he can afford flashy diamonds to spice up his appearance, and most importantly, he has shooters on deck to defend him from angry rivals.

As mentioned on “Drama Never Ends” from earlier in the year, 50 isn’t hesitant about using the same weapon for different crimes. Here we learn that it’s because of the strength of his lawyers. One lawyer for each specific crime that’ll get him out of any type of sticky situation, no matter the circumstances.

One of 50’s most relatable lines while not being relatable at all. Most of us have probably checked ourselves out in the mirror, but then again, none of us can match 50’s top-notch swaggy appearance. He doesn’t need any women in his life, he’s fully capable of turning himself on. Can you fault him?

She’s Norewegian. Should make the list based on that alone. I’d like to see this in the top 5.

Slightly more realistically, top 15.

It’s cool on first listen then you stop caring. I don’t think it needs to be on the list.

If a list does not include “Hotline Bling” in any form, that list is illegitimate.

It’s a cool song, but it’s not top-song-of-the-year-caliber. I don’t personally think this needs to be included at all.

50 is nowhere near needing hand-me downs; he can afford to travel to glamorous spots like Miami whenever he wants.

There has been such a strong Hispanic immigration to Miami that the local community has incorporated the Spanish language into their own. 50 plays on the stereotype of Mexicans crossing through to the US via boats.

Drug use / drug selling is often synonymous with hispanics due to the large drug trade in South America/Central America, most notably in Mexico. Studies also show that Hispanic youth are more likely to abuse substances. With a background in drug-dealing, 50 can easily exchange blowjobs for some coke.

Only because I overplayed “Here” before the release of her EP/album, I’ve began enjoying her other songs more (especially “Wild Things”), but if we’re considering other factors, this is definitely Alessia’s most “important” piece. Most of the top pop songs usually embrace and encourage the party lifestyle, but she’s shedding some light on the other side of the spectrum, those who don’t feel at home in a club scene. Seeing an introvert-anthem do so well on the charts is a blessing. Incredibly well-written too. I’d say this is at least top 15.
