He has announced that, for the first time on a KRIT project, a bulk of the production for Cadillactica will be done by a producer other than KRIT himself

It was just on his most recent mixtape that he first delegated even a song to another producer, but this is sure to push KRIT into a new lane creatively. He will still handle the majority of the production though, so the signature sound will remain

KRIT takes a rather liberal approach to releasing his music for free, seeing as he dropped four “free albums" which were certainly high-quality enough to sell for money. But, as he says in “King Pt. 3”:

I don’t care if you paid for mine, I’m just hoping that you listen

When the Week of KRIT started, it had been nearly a year since KRIT dropped anything proper, with his last release – King Remembered In Time – coming on April 10, 2013

KRIT spoke to RevoltTV about “Blak and Blu,” his collaboration with Clark, before Clark won his Grammy. KRIT told them:

I think it’s the amount of soul that’s in our music – there’s a kind of humbleness to it. Letting the music speak for itself and being thankful and grateful for what we have. Trying to make the kind of music that people can relate to. That Southern hospitality.
