DOUBLE ENTENDRE:

  • The most obvious meaning is that K.R.I.T. is gonna give up rapping and go back to Mississippi, his home-state.

  • The second, deeper meaning gives “Sippi-land” a new meaning– “Sippi” is a homophone with “sippy”. K.R.I.T. has often expressed his love for liquor, so he may be saying that he will return to the bottle after he stops rapping.

In sports, people get remembered for being “clutch”. The fourth quarter is when the game is on the line; when it matters most. The players who step up in the fourth quarter and lead their team to victory get remembered as legends (think: Michael Jordan).

On the other hand, players who may be just as talented, but don’t step up in the fourth, may never reach that “legendary” status. If they play like legends the whole rest of the game, but choke in the fourth, they may just be remembered as mere superstars.

Therefore, Chiddy says that he steps up as a legend in the fourth after playing as a superstar up to halftime. (Question: where’s the third quarter?)

This line refers to the unique hip hop sound coming out of Toronto right now, popularized by Drizzy, The Weeknd, and producer Noah “40” Shebib.

As far as Drake is concerned, the only people that his competitors should be worried about are the upcoming artists from his home city.
