Classism is prejudice between different “classes” of wealth. He’s referring to the fact the “poor” and in this case servants are treated just as African Americans were treated during the periods of severe segregation, hence “the help still enters the back door”.

The message is, no matter how our society progresses away from racism, something is there to fill its place while the ignorant stay behind the facade acting as if it doesn’t exist and that “we’re past it”.

Simply referring to the fact our country is no longer a democracy, yet hide beyond the the idea of it so the people actually think their vote count.

They disguise lies and contradict religions (to further the confusion and dissonance) through music and feelings of sublime (fooling masses into thinking it’s correct based upon the euphoria + what is “in”)

Also wordplay with wrap/rap in this instance since rhapsody is also referring to music (rap).

He’s just scrutinizing her life and the problems she’s made to end up where she has.
Also, notice the wordplay.. Through the verse he’s keeping this “theme” of writing.. how she “wrote” her life, how she “words” her actions(verbs) and how she never “looked them over”.

He literally hated his own reflection and thought his life was nothing but hardship after hardship. He eventually realized he was born with a gift for rhyming and it really helped get him out of his melancholy state.

Prima donna is Italian for “first lady”. It was used to first refer to operas. He’s referring to the feminine and singing rappers.
He’s pretty much saying they spit lies and embellish about their lives.

Notice the wordplay though with the common theme: Prima donna(referring to the femininity), lip gloss, purses, make up, glisten, touch up, blush.

He simultaneously loved her as they had a long relationship and those feelings don’t just immediately fade, and at the same time hated her for cheating. Love and Hate are polar opposites, so the juxtaposition of both is a clear and concise paradox and display certain dichotomy.
Alchemy is when paradoxical results are achieved by unknown explanations.

One one hand we have the dichotomy between logic and his rapping name Illogic. They are completely opposed of each other, a true anti-thesis; and in that opposition of each other there is a harsh contrast between them.

Then also there’s a dichotmy between the secular realm he’s talking about and the religion he’s searching for. The secular realm would be one without religion/spirituality, which is what he said he was living in. Religion and secular are complete opposites and again there’s a rigid contrast between them, thus the dicthomy.

Basically, it’s logical to just be in the “secular realm” and not believe in god or a religion, as there is tangible evidence of the sciences to prove things. It’s illogical to believe in God because there’s no tangible proof, it’s purely reliant on faith.

Wordplay with soul/sole.
The bottom of a foot/shoe is a sole.. when you step you step on your sole.. and it hurts his soul that he’s equal to a shoe.

He’s implying music is actually his soulmate.. and the premise of the song in general is, he loves music. He’s just attacking this discrepancy of love and what is really lovable in a lot of peoples eyes.
