He feels he doesn’t need to worry about going broke because he’s the best at what he does, similar to Michael Jordan who’s widely regarded as the greatest basketball player of all time. He compares himself to Jordan as opposed to Scottie Pippen the Chicago Bulls small forward who served as second fiddle to Michael. Even after all these years, MJ is still making around $80 million per year, thanks to his endorsement deals, while rumors claim that Pippen has filed for bankruptcy.

He’s also saying he isn’t peeping (Pippen) someone else’s Jordan’s; he’s not jealous of someone else’s Jordan shoes.

Comparing his recent success to that of Harlem rappers in the late 90’s. In 1997 specifically, the Harlem native, Mase released his multi-platinum debut album Harlem World. Of course this was a few years before Mase became a pastor.

Another successful release that year also included, harlem native, Diddy’s album titled No Way Out.

Besides these two major releases, other harlem rappers were on the rise at the time, such as Cam'ron and the late Big L

He claims to have slept with more women than Justin Bieber, who is a heart throb to women, specifically teenage girls. Although it’s up for speculation as to how many women Bieber has slept with, this is still an impressive feat considering how many women want the young pop star.

He also uses a clever play on words in this line. “This just in” can also be heard as “This Justin”.

Although he sleeps with many women, he doesn’t feel the need to go around telling his friends about it. He’d rather keep his sex life to himself.

Also, “got my niggas on the need to know” sounds like “got my niggas on their knees to know”, implying that Cole’s friends are begging him to tell them about his sex life.

Reference to the song “Ryde or Die, Bitch” by The Lox and Eve.

The Game also used this line in “Pray,” which features J.Cole.

Notice how “eve” is pronounced to sound like “Ib”. The ‘v’ sound isn’t clearly pronounced which could indicate that this line also means.. “And she ride or die like Ib and them”. Ib is J. Cole’s best friend and business partner who has been with J. Cole since he was in college.

His father was partying to the music of the late Rick James, whose funk sound always brought life to a party. Cole feels like he missed out on those times because all he hears in the club now is Trinidad James.

Even though he isn’t feeling this new sound, he sees all the women dancing and singing along Trinidad’s “All Gold Everything”, and can’t help but join with a quote from the hook (“nigga, nigga, nigga”).

There is also a play on words: Cole’s father wasn’t there for him when he grew up, and the only dad he got was Trinidad James.

Coming from the previous notion that society molds people, it is when the “boy” meets “world” when he faces all of societies standards that basically force him to act such a way, homophobic even.

Boy Meets World was a popular 90’s sitcom, in which Topanga was one of the main characters. She was seen by many men as the ideal girlfriend, not only because she was attractive but because she was also smart and loyal to her partner Cory. Cole wants to find a similar woman to share a relationship with.

Although unlike Cory and Topanga, Cole doesn’t want a relationship, but to “bang” or have sex. A bit of an oxymoron, wouldn’t you say?
