Homme tells these fuckers to go to hell with a masterful guitar solo and again questions their fickle ways as it ends…

(The lyric “drink wine and screw” is a reference to the same lyric on “Walkin' on the Sidewalks” from QOTSA’s self-titled debut album.

16 years later Homme is still concerned with the same types of questions he posed on the opening lines of Regular John, the opening song of their very first self titled album, Queens of the Stone Age.

All 3 were home runs…and THIS is what makes this performance so notable. Not only was it the first time Navarro hit 3 home runs in a game in his career, but it was also the first time he even hit 2!

The 1st bomb came in the 2nd inning with the bases empty off of John Danks on a belt high change-up that Navarro deposited into the left center field bleachers.

Home run number 2 was a 4th inning 2-run shot off of Danks again on a high and away pitch that found its way into the corner just beyond the left field wall.

Home run #3 was a 7th inning waist high inside pitch from rookie reliever Brian Omogrosso with 2 runners on base, that Navarro prodigiously blasted out of the ballpark and onto Sheffield Ave..

First Cubs catcher to ever hit for 3 home runs in a game, doubling his season totals to 6, ready for his curtain call and his place in Chicago Cubs lore:

We can qualify Dioner Navarro as a “well-traveled” veteran. Coming into the game, he’d never homered more than once in a game. Navarro was a highly touted prospect for the Yankees and was traded to the Diamondbacks in a move for Javier Vaquez. On the same day, the Diamondbacks shipped Navarro to the Dodgers in a deal for Shawn Green.

That day prepared pudgy Navarro for a journeyman career where he’s had stints with the Yankees, Dodgers, Rays, Dodgers (again), reds and now the Cubbies.

The Chicago Cubs' classic stadium since 1916 is in the aptly named “Wrigleyville” portion of Chicago’s Lakeview district.

Wrigley Field is famous for it’s ivy laden outfield wall, which while bare at season’s start in April, starts growing in green and lush as the season wears on.

Also unique to Wrigley are the highest number of day games in all of baseball, due early neighborhood concerns of lights and noise in the evening. For this reason the Cubs are seemingly “always” playing day games at home.

It remains one of baseball’s most classic ballparks, free from most digital advertising displays that have taken over MLB stadiums across the country. Who needs a jumbotron when you have THIS beautiful hand turned score board:

The most he’s had in any game this playoff. The highlight was easily this absolutely perfect block of George Hill in the 3rd quarter. AN image that despite the outcome of this series, will stand the test of time:

Standard ground beef can be used, though ground buffalo or turkey is also an option. If using beef, a lean meat percentage in the 70s—e.g., a lean to fat ratio of about 70/30—is best for helping the balls maintain their shape, as the high fat content keeps things together! (If the meat is too lean, it will crumble easily.)

Vegetarian options include soy and veggie-based products, though more egg or cheese may be needed to substitute for the missing fat content.

Feel free to also use veal, chicken, or even lamb.

One can also buy pork, chicken, etc sausages and break open the casings to extract the ground meat.
