Never want stars till there ain't no sky
Never know when and you don't know why
But don't say it's too late for us
Never want to sail till your ship is gone
Never want a house till you can't go home
But you and me baby girl we can't go wrong
So don't say that it's too late for us Little Brother (Ft. Tiye Phoenix) – Too Late for Us

Cox is including himself in this line along with Dima, perhaps because they both lead an alternative lifestyle; questioning the virtue of the life they lead and whether the listener could “pray” for them?
Furthermore, self-loathing and yeraning to better understand one’s self and way of life is a recurring theme in Cox’s music.
I think in this line, it’s supposed to be from Dima’s perspective, asking people to not only pray for him, but for everyone else in his situation.
