Even though fans still want his music, Abel has been growing and his new music isn’t the same. Abel also stated in 2011 on the song “Loft Music” that he was only 20. Then on “Gone” of the same year he said he was 21. Being that it’s 2013, he’s released a successful commercial album (Trilogy), amassing features on tracks, and now has seen the more of the world in the past 12 months than he did his last 21 years of never having left Toronto.

This also may create a juxtaposition between the world getting smaller as Abel’s fame and singing are growing. He also may see growth through his maturation as an artist.

The entire song is almost like a dream state in itself, with its slow-fast alternate rhythms and rain, thunder sounds. Learning how to dream is his coping mechanism and before she knows it – she will soon be one with him in this mind state without being able to turn back.
