I’ve always understood the word “instrumentation” to refer to the arrangement or composition of music in terms of specifying what instruments are used for a song or musical composition and what music each instrument plays – it is a synonym for “orchestration”. Thus it doesn’t refer to the act of playing the music. Online dictionaries seem to agree.

If there is a credit for “Instrumentation”, is it possible that is what is being referred to? If so, then I would think that the credit should use that word. Otherwise, if there is a generic credit for playing all of the instruments then “Instruments” would be preferable to avoid ambiguity.

If a song has more than one producer credited and some of them are credited as co-producers as well, should they be credited in both then? or just in co-producer?

@Daktar Duplicates don’t really matter here; it’s just coming up with a system to avoid IQ gaming by adding the country code, state, etc.

@Pessoa I’d recommend using the three letter country ISO code for consistency of form. (e.g. FRA, GBR, etc)

So we should add mastering and mixing studios at the same field as recording? Any standard to separate and identify them?
