This album really was underground shortly after it was released in 1991 in England. It was banned and pulled from the shelves. I remember bumping it non-stop that summer.

It was later released after the government lost the court case.

This album was far from underground; it was one of the most anticipated rap album of 1991, it debutated number 1 on Billboard 200 (the first gangsta rap album to do so), and it also sold 1 million copies first week. Not to mention all the buzz around the group before and after the release.

Literally a turtleneck leather jacket made out of ostrich skin. Ostrich skin (along with alligator skin) is one of the most expensive skins in the luxury goods market. Not to be confused with mock-ostrich skin (which is regular leather stamped to appear like ostrich skin). Ostrich skin is usually used to make purses, wallets and shoes. An ostrich turtleneck is likely to be a custom commissioned piece.
