The Triceratops was a large herbivore dinosaur, recognizable by three large horns on it’s forehead. These horns were used as defense against predators and also as a means of showing off dominance.
The Triceratops was around during the late Cretaceous Period.

The T-rex, or Tyrannosaurus, is probably the most thought of and well known dinosaur. Believed to be the apex predator of its time, it was believed to be a ferocious hunter but speculation says it may have been a scavenger.
The T-rex is characterized by sharp, serrated teeth, a gigantic head, and unusually small arms.
The T-rex was prevalent during the Cretaceous Period.

Walt is saying that he wants to return to nature in a spiritual sense through a physical means. To Walt, clothes are a disguise of who people really are in their natural, unadorned state. He’s going down to the river and getting naked so he can go for a swim, because he longs to be completely submerged in nature.

Whitman talks of the now. People claim to know the origins of things they never saw or the finales to things they will never see. Another term often used for this is “alpha and omega,” used in reference to God, who is the beginning and the end, the creator and the destroyer. Whitman focuses on the here and now either because the beginning and end are unknowable or because he doesn’t fundamentally believe in them–he believes instead in the eternal “procreant urge of the world.”
Rockwell Knuckles makes a similar statement in his song “Sorta Invincible.”
When Whitman speaks of ‘the talkers’, specifically he speaks of religious folk and the inherent obsession with the beginning and end of time and human existence. He goes on to say that he does not talk of the beginning or the end, suggesting that he thinks it trivial in instances like these to pay attention to the past or future, but instead to live and speak in the moment.
