Could also mean Chance is going to blow up and get big, (like an atom bomb which blows up when atoms are split), and slit throats to get there.
Slit Adam’s apples is a reference to the fall of man in the Bible, when Adam committed sin. Chance is making men fall by sinfully slayin they ass.
